Fall/Halloween Day 31: Treat Boxes

I can't believe we have gotten to Day 31 which means it also Halloween today so Happy Halloween. Today's box came to me from my downline, Cindy Zoellner who shared it with me a few months ago. These little boxes would be fun for those special Trick or Treaters or for table favors for a Thanksgiving celebration. I filled mine with Tootsie Rolls and Dove Chocolates but lots of things would fit including bath bombs, lip bombs and chocolate truffles just to name a few.

Pictures show both the closed box and before they have been put together. Since you have to take the box apart to open it, I didn't use Tear Tape to put it together but would recommend a good amount of adhesive to keep it together.

Supplies listed are for both box designs. Here are the cutting/scoring instructions:

First piece        2" x 8 1/2" score at 2", 4", 6" and 8"
Second piece   2" x 11" score at 1 1/2", 2 1/2", 4 1/2", 6 1/2", 8 1/2" and 9 1/2"

DSP:    5 pieces at 1 3/4" x 1 3/4"
            2 pieces at 1 3/4" x 1 1/2"

Fall/Halloween Day 30: Happy Haunting

I knew I wanted my final Halloween card of the series to include Granny Apple Green as that green really says Halloween to me. This card used a few different Halloween stamp sets and the Rectangular Postage Stamp punch. To achieve the two squares, instead of rectangles, you punch the rectangle and then put it back into the punch to punch it smaller. A trick to getting the punched item back into the punch you can take a scrap strip of paper and attach it to back of the punched item so that you can fit it into the punch where you want it.

I am loving the Snowflake Splendor Ribbon with the iridescent colors and how they shine and change in intensity when you color the ribbon with the Stampin' Blends-in this case Granny Apple Green. You will definitely see this ribbon again on some Christmas cards next month.

Fall/Halloween Day 29: Sunflowers

I can't believe I waited until Day 29 to include sunflowers in the fall favorites. So many people go to sunflower fields this time of year and the pictures I see are always gorgeous. It was fun to use a sunflower as the focus of today's card. This is a great card to practice your coloring skills with the Stampin' Blends. You can use a variety of colors to create lots of different versions of sunflowers. This is also a fun fold where an extra score is added to take a small segment of the front half the card and fold it back against itself to add a little extra dimension. The inside base layer is done with DSP and then a single sentiment while the inside front flap includes the other sentiment. This card is going to out in the mail on Monday to celebrate someone's birthday. Hope she likes sunflowers.
