Fall/Halloween Day 16: Multi-Colored Leaves

Fall in Wisconsin brings so many colors and we are near peak color in my area so today's card was an attempt to create multi-colored leaves in a couple different ways. All are cut using the dies from Gathered Leaves Dies. Some are made by piecing together scraps of different fall colors and then cur into one leave. Others are cut from one color and then ink is added with sponge daubers to add depth to the leaves.

This card is a type of fun fold/fun closure. The base is cut 5 1/2" x 7 1/2" and then scored at 4 1/4" so the front flap is 1" shorter than the bottom. The small space is filled in with a strip that has been embossed in the Old World Paper Folder. The card is then "closed" by cutting the strip the sentiment is mounted on which is sandwiched between the base and the white layer. The leave that overlaps the sentiment is popped up with a dimensional so that it holds the sentiment flap closed. The card is finished off with a couple leaves on a corner of the inside.

This was super fun card to create. Do you like to go check out the fall colors?
