This black cat from the Playful Pets DSP definitely needed to be used on a Halloween card. (And in October you can get it for 15% off in the DSP sale.) I was inspired by this design I saw online. The cat seems to stalk that spider perfectly and the corner spider web from the Festive Corners stamp set seems to hold the paper in place.
Notice the stitching along the edges of each layer? They were cut using the Rectangle Stitched Framelits to add a little texture to the card. The word Spooky, also from Festive Corners, is on a stitched rectangle as well.
The plaid pattern is from the Plaid Tidings DSP, also included in the 15% off DSP sale in October. This paper is so versatile with fall, Halloween and Christmas patterns all in the same pack. I know I'll be taking advantage of the sale to get myself another pack.
Since this card prominently features a black cat, tell me about your pets. We have one dog named Cadet, he is mixed breed cutie we got through a rescue group almost a year and half ago.
