I jumped on the band wagon and made a slim line card. This one uses the Love of Leaves stamp set and coordinating Stitched Leave Dies (Bundle available at 10% discount).
To make the slim line card you cut the base layer at 8 1/2" x 7" and score the 7" side at 3 1/2". Layers are cut at 8 1/4" x 3 1/4" and 7 3/4" x 2 3/4". The leaves were cut with the dies and then inked in multiple colors using sponge daubers. To give them extra texture, they were folded along the different score lines in both directions. The sentiment was punched with the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch-besides being able to punch 3 different widths, it has two different end options and allows you to punch the paper to length after stamping your sentiment. The card was then finished off with some of the pearls colored with the Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Blends. I love that you can coordinate embellishments to match by using the blends.
The In Good Taste DSP used for the background layer is included in the DSP sale in October at 15% off. This pack includes patterns that look like photos of tile, wood grain and other natural materials. It is also a large pack with additional pattern, making it a super deal especially on the sale.
The slim line card fits in a standard business size envelope with regular postage which makes it a nice option to change up your cards.
