Today's fun fold idea was shared with me at a crafting retreat by my friend Joleen Lentz. I think this layout is perfect for the dies in the Halloween Magic Die set as they create some extra overlap to help "center" this card. The picture above show you both an open & closed look.
The base is cut 5 1/2" x 7" and is scored at 4 1/4" on the 7" side. Cut another piece of the same color as base to 3 1/4" x 3 1/2". Score the 3 1/4" side at 1/2". The 1/2" flap is adhered near the top of the base. It is then covered with a layer cut to 5 1/4" x 4". The DSP for the flap on the base is 5 1/4" x 2 1/2" and is 3 1/4" x 2 1/2" for the flap. You can use different patterns of DSP if you like. I chose to keep the color scheme to 3 colors so used the same DSP.
The Happy Halloween was stamped in Pretty Peacock inside the border stamp in the Hallow's Night Magic stamp set. That lovely pattern also looks awesome colored with the Blends too. The card was finished off by cutting just the large bat out of the two bat die. That is popped up with a dimensional to act as a closure for the card flap.
The stamp set & dies are available as a bundle priced at 10% off and this DSP is part of the 15% off sale in October.
